February 05, 1959 Transportation Manager Married 1

WOW!  The past thirty-one years have really gone by fast.  I give thanks often for this website and the unity it has brought to our graduating class. I went through a few drafting jobs after high school and started working for the Alabama Department Of Transportation in early 1985 and have been there ever since. I hold the position of Transportation Manager in the Bridge Bureau. It is a supervisory position and the bulk of my work concerns turning engineering designs into construction plans which are then let to contract to be built.  Throw in a few bridge site inspections and a LOT of letter/memo writing and that pretty much sums up my job. I met my wife, Laura in March of 1980 and we married in May of 1985. She is a Court Reporter for Judge Charles Price. We have one daughter, Sarah and she is a freshman at Saint James High School. I am your typical Air Force brat and my Dad moved his family to Montgomery between the 8th and 9th grade and I got to know a lot of you guys at Capitol Heights Jr. High. I must admit, I listened with envy at the reunion to a lot of stories about elementary school memories you guys were telling. I wish I had moved here earlier! I am a member of the local chapter of the Sons Of The American Revolution where I hold the position of Chairman of Veterans Affairs. I love the outdoors. I have been through several phases of camping, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing. My recent hobbies include photography and woodworking in my shop. I like to fish and I do a little bit turkey hunting occasionally. I am looking forward to retirement in about ten years and plan on doing a LOT of traveling. May God continue to bless our graduating class . . . . . . . . . . . . .

November 08, 1958 clerk iv Married 1

I have returned to the working world after being self employed for many years. My husband and I sold our business in 2005. It has been a real adjustment for me to work for the city.

I am married to Robert Harrell and we will be celebrating 25 years this December. We have one son, Davis, who is 20. Davis brought two other children into our lives, and I now claim they are "my heart children". They are Ben, 22, and Zach, age 21 I traveled with these boys for years during the summer playing hockey in the southeast, and that's how I came to claim them as mine. It was easier than explaining!

We live in Hope Hull with 2 cats and 4 birds and lots of wildlife outside. Life is good!

March 19, 1959 Licensed Clinical Social Worker, 1st Hospital Corp www.randallpatti.com Married
I am happily married and living in New Mexico.  I haven't given birth to any children but I raised 4 and have been blessed with 3 more. (It's humbling to influence the lives of others...)  I work in the field of Mental Health.  I typically make it back to Montgomery about once a year around Christmas to visit family there.  It really is good to connect with my classmates after all of these years!  And, sad that we have already lost some...  After graduation from Robert E.  Lee, I lived in beautiful Chattanooga, TN for 21 years. I received my B.S. in Marketing & Economics with double minors: 1.Economics & 2.Studio Arts from The University Of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  I received my M.S. in Clinical Social Work from THE University of Tennessee (main campus in Knoxville).  My area of expertise in direct practice is working with trauma and abuse survivors as well as anger management, (which tends to be a huge piece in PTSD related work). I work with adults, children and elderly. But, I must say that my work with sexually abused children has been the most gratifying while at the same time heartbreaking...  I moved to New Mexico a little over 6 years ago.  And, although I am/was a total water baby, (I was a rower in college), I become more in awe of the desert each day that I live here.  It is a different kind of beautiful. The sunrises and the sunsets here are beautiful and different every day. It is obvious why so many artist have come and continue to come here. WOW! And, lately, more and more movies are being filmed here with studios popping up. There are numerous Indian Nations/Pueblos here in New Mexico as well as Spainish and Mexican influences. So much to see, learn and enjoy! Y'all come! And, let me know when you do; I'll show you all of the good stuff!! I hope that all of you are well and happy! Take Care Of Your Selfs!  ~P                Send Patti a MessageSend Patti a Message

October 09, 1959 Computer business owner Married 3
(Deceased)

I want to make a remembrance comment because I think our warm memories of these lost friends are shared by many. Andy and I shared several classes but the one I remember most is Pysch class with Mrs. Wiggins.  I sat between Andy Hill on one side and Donna Snead on the other.  They used to "tag team" razz me, but all in good fun.  Andy was upstanding and dignified.  I knew his sister Amy just as well, and know Andy was very well respected in his church at Eastern Hills Baptist. Word has it that Andy had a bypass operation and died five days later.  I don't know how long ago that was.  From my memory, he was an exemplary teenager and probably the same as an adult.  We have lost a shining star in Andy.~ Tony Peregoy

Andy died in March of 2000 after having heart valve replacement surgery for a long undetected congenital condition. Once finally diagnosed it was determined to be life threatening, however his death was still a shock and unexpected. Andy went to Samford University where he graduated with honors. He married his high school sweetheart Leashia Ivemyer (JD '78) and they lived in Homewood, AL where he had his computer business. He was a wonderful father to their three beautiful children. Ashley, the oldest, is a graduate of Boston University. Joshua is a student at UAH. Aaron is at the high school in Homewood where he and Leashia still live. He and his family have been active members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for years. His friends there were amazing during his hospital stay and at his death. He was very loved and rightfully so...he was a great big guy with a huge heart and a warm sense of humor. He is survived by his family above as well as his parents, two sisters, one brother, in-laws and a host of other family and friends. Andy's faith was always unwavering and especially so at his death, which for those who knew and loved him provided a certainty of where he is today. . For me, his little sister, he was at times my knight in shining armor, my best friend, my confidant, my mentor, and my role model of the perfect gentleman. I miss him beyond words. Thank you for this site and Tony, thanks for you kind entry. I am touched and appreciative. Life is precious...give thanks and truly live. Amy Hill Thompson...Class of '81

March 08, 1960 Office Manager, Dental Office Married 2
It has been so much fun catching up with high school friends!  After graduation, I attended and graduated from Auburn University.  After teaching high school Government and Economic for 3 years, I pursued another career as a dental hygienist (UAB). Tim and I have been married for 20 years and we have two beautiful daughters,  Rachel (17) and Caroline (14).  Tim owns an insurance agency in Opelika and I manage a 2-dentists practice in Opelika, also.  Rachel is a majorette at Auburn High School and Caroline attends Auburn Junior High.  (She plans to follow her sister as a majorette soon.)  We love to travel: Montana, Canada, Aruba, Jamaica, New York City, Hawaii, Seattle... Instead of giving each other Christmas, birthday, etc. presents, we plan a trip each year... memories are made that will last long after material gifts are discarded!  We love living in Auburn even though Tim is an Alabama fan... we are slowly bringing him to the "War Eagle" side... very slowly!!!  Life is wonderful... the Lord truly blesses!  We are very active in our church, Purpose Baptist, and love to work with the youth group.  If you are ever in Auburn,  please look us up! October 18, 1958 Computer Network Design Architect www.areulost.org Married 4
I am President and owner of AreULost, Inc. a computer consulting company. My current top engagement has me in the role of Senior Solutions / Enterprise Architect at Compassion, Intl. In my spare time, I write books and have published one with another in the editing hopper. To date, I have… Retired from the Army (2007), worked as a Microsoft Senior Consultant, Deployed overseas as the Chief Network Engineer for Central Iraq, and have permanent butt imprints from passenger seat straps on long rides in C-130s and C-17s. I Graduated from Texas Tech in '81 with a BA in History and went straight into the Army. At the 17 year mark, I left the Army to work at Microsoft then was involuntarily recalled to active duty in 2005. I stayed until I hit 20 years of active federal service. At present, I occasionally get suckered into paintball with High School kids at church (for some reason, my body is their favorite target... Maybe I should talk less smack…). My passion is writing fiction, teaching college history classes, and team teaching marriage classes with my wife at church (her wisdom continues to bless and amaze me - if not for her, I would probably be in prison somewhere)... Our second daughter married her high school sweetheart last May (2010) and our oldest will Marry her college sweetheart in Jan of 2011.
I am Seriously wondering what comes next!
Kids:  Lauren - 27, Lindsay - 23, Jonathan - 19, Justin - 13...

January 29, 1959 Exec. Director, Alabama Board of Architects Married 2

I have two sons--Cary (33) and Justin (25).  I have two grandsons, Matthew, born on 10/11/2004 and Beau, born on 1/11/2010.  Cary is separated from his wife, and Justin is married to Amy.

After 8 years of being single again, I married Harvey McKim (RE Lee Class of 1968) about two years ago.  He is a mechanical engineer with the Alabama Building Commission.  He has two children, Brannon (33) and Britney (32), and two grandsons--Maddox (born 11/30/05) and Bo (born 7/9/08).  We are blessed with many common interests, including gardening, working out, bicycling, and college football--most notably Auburn Tiger football.

I am a career state employee, beginning work for the state in March 1979.  Currently, I am employed as the Executive Director of the Alabama Board for Registration of Architects, a state licensing and regulatory board.  I was recently elected to my third term on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in Washington, DC--the first executive director of an architectural licensing board to serve on the Board.  This new position involves travel to cities all across the country as well as Canada and Mexico (not at state expense, by the way), so it has been a very exciting time in our lives.

My parents and Harvey's dad live in Montgomery as well, and they enjoy good health and active lives.  We are blessed, and life is good!
